So what's the fascination with JAM? Is it a jelly? Or is it a person? In case it is not very obvious, my initials are J.A.M. ~ hence, JAMdesigns. I have been collecting small wooden jam/jelly jars throughout my life. I have big ones and very small ones. I guess I have been fascinated with the fact that they have my initials on them. I thought one day, if I ever started my own business, no matter what the nature, I would somehow use JAM as the name of the company.
I could go on about how the symbolism of jelly being sweet is a reflection of my nature, Well, "for sure," you would say, "That is exactly what it stands for." Or, it could just be some strange attraction to little wooden jars that say "JAM." Either way, it does give you something to think about.
I have traveled across the United States; starting out on Long Island, New York where I was born to Chicago, Illinois, and finally all the way west to California; where I have been since 1981. I believe life is a journey and I have certainly been on an exciting one from the start.
The last 23 years as a Mom has given me great skills such as, multi-tasking and patience. I am able to work independently as well as with others. If there is a job to do and a deadline, I will get it done. I have a lot of creative ideas, but do not consider myself to be a fine artist. I will leave those skills to someone more gifted than myself. I am pretty good with a ruler though and have an eye for alignment, overall balance and small details. I am looking forward to this new career of mine!
